For your consideration is my 2009 Mercury Mariner Premier 2WD SUV/station wagon. Title in hand. I've personally owned it for 15 of its 16 years, and it's still in solid condition. This came from a strong Ford era, and the Premier trim is loaded with solid options that still hold up today. Mileage: 194,644 Dealer maintained. Driven lightly over the past few years, mostly for grocery runs and Tigers games. The Mariner's been great in Michigan snow, has always felt like a safe ride, and still gets solid gas mileage. The heated leather seats, moonroof, luggage rack, alloy rims, and Premier lighting system all work as they should. That lighting system, which lets you change the interior colors on the console and dash, is still something you don't see in many cars. Even though it looks like an SUV, it qualifies as a station wagon for insurance, which has helped keep costs low. Additional notes &amp; details: Excellent sound system and very little wind/road noise Original exhaust still in place recently inspected and in good shape Rear hatch mounts (common issue) already replaced professionally Paint still shines beautifully day and night; has typical Michigan rust in areas A/C and radiator replaced ~5 years ago; A/C needs a recharge or inspection Occasionally the dash volume knob doesn't respond, but steering wheel controls work fine Needs new wipers Known mechanical notes: Slight oil leak Occasional transmission kick although I'm no mechanic, I recommend a transmission fluid change may be due. 3.0L V6 is a naturally loud motor, but known to be strong and reliable One of the tire pressure sensors needs to be replaced, but the tire pressure itself is fine. The tires hold air without issue, and we just check them the old-fashioned way. Tires will most likely need to be replaced sometime next year. This car has genuinely brought a lot of joy. It's comfortable, dependable, and full of character. Time for someone else to enjoy this car.
