2016 Acura TLX V6 Technology Package (FWD) OPEN TO OFFERS Waco, Texas The NEW, REPLACED Timing Chain is what sets my car apart from all the rest. Cars either have a timing belt or a timing chain. If a timing belt breaks you just simply have your car towed and have a new one put on. Not a big deal. If a timing chain breaks it will completely wreck your engine and that's the end of your car. You are supposed to replace the timing chain after 100,000 miles on an Acura TLX. I replaced mine not too long after I got the car around 200,000 miles. It is the only major worry and expense when it comes to the Acura TLX and I've already taken care of it.
