For sale is my Speed Yellow 996 Turbo, 6-sp manual (only 300 of 996 Turbo 6-speed manuals in coupe Speed Yellow were made for the U.S.). This is a Mezger engine that is bulletproof, has Le Mans heritage and no issues with IMS or bore scoring associated with non-Turbo engines. This is a 2001 car so the engine block is stamped Made in Germany' unlike some other later year 996 Turbo engine that were outsourced. Also, 2001 models are lighter (no glove box compartment) and saved 100 lbs in weight that was later added when Porsche introduced a more an X50 power kit that required beefing up reinforcements due to more torque. Overall, the best way to describe the car is it's a great quality fully sorted driver car. I would rate it 8/10 on most metrics. It has its age and mileage appropriate imperfections although I have done a lot to bring the car to a much higher quality standard. The car has a lot of service history and is a turn-key ready to drive across the country. Last 2 year only services include: Regular oil and filter changes, brake fluid flush, new upper coolant hoses, new passenger door latch, new AGM battery, fixed window regulator, washer tank, new spark plugs, new ignition coils, new ABS unit, new transmission fluid, new transfer case and differential fluid, new (all 4) intercooler hoses, replaced and put new both rear control arms, new fuel pump, clutch line, new (barely 2k miles on them) Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and much more (prior to 2023). The car has no accidents and a clean CarFax. I have two keys and original manual book with all service and records documented. This is a no stories car.
